Trail Ride to Four Season's Resort is Canceled... but we're still going!!!
Due to unseasonably warm temperatures and poor trail conditions, we are forced to cancel the trail ride to Pembine's Four Season's Resort. Don't let that keep you home though as we are still planning on going by car to enjoy the wonderful amenities the resort has to offer.
Hope to see you there!!!

Three Lakes Vintage Ride - Trail Fundraiser
If you've never attended a vintage event, this needs to be on your bucket list. The annual Three Lakes Vintage ride will take place on February 4th and will start with breakfast at Bonnie's Lakeside on Spirit Lake. The past several years nearly 100 vintage sleds participated in the ride to several local establishments. Raffles at the event help raise funds for Three Lakes Trails. This is a great event with lots of memories and good food along the way. It also reminds us why we ride NEWer machines these days.

Snow and Cold return to the Northwoods
After record high temperatures melted much of the snow in open areas, the snow and cold have returned. Area trails are now in very good to excellent condition. The forecast is looking good for extended cold temperatures.

Ride Safe, Smart and Responsibly
Ride Safe-stay right in anticipation of oncoming traffic. Ride Smart-knowing where blind curves are so you are best prepared when meeting snowmobilers coming from the other direction. Ride Responsibly-most fatal accidents involve alcohol. Know your limits when visiting our local establishments. Remember that every snowmobiler is someone's son, daughter, father, mother, brother or sister. Please make a conscious effort to think about your own safety and the safety of those that share the trail with you.

Our AWSC Groomer of the Year...
All of us have grown to appreciate riding groomed trails. Most riders don't know what it's like to spend hours in a groomer chugging along at a mere 8 - 10 miles per hour. NLSC is proud to announce that one of our very own has been chosen as the AWSC Groomer of the Year. This competition is statewide so this award is special. The NLSC Board had nominated George Brunette as Groomer of the year and this past August he was selected over a very talented and dedicated field of candidates.
George is a very dedicated groomer. You'll often see him on the Kimball Creek trail at night which takes up to 16 hours to groom. We are proud to have George grooming our Northwoods trails. Congratulations George! Great Job!!!

Three Lakes Trails Expands Territitory
Three Lakes Trails has come to an agreement with Forest County and has assumed responsibility for an additional 45 miles of trail. The area is known as the Brule River Trails and is located in the Alvin area. Crews have been working to clear trees, pull rocks and secure landowner agreements. Now we can ride all the way to Michigan on trails. We are now one of the largest grooming operations in the state.

Northern Lights Overnight Ride
We will be returning to Four Seasons Island Resort February 6th - 8th in Pembine WI. The 135 mile ride takes us through Forest and Marrinette Counties through some of the most beautiful trails the Northwoods has to offer. Last year, we found Four Season's hospitality second to none with great food and a warm atmosphere. Last years ride had nearly 50 riders with this year promising to be bigger.

Trail Loss
Trail #13 which ran between Three Lakes north to Eagle River has been closed by a local landowner. This trail was the busiest trail in Oneida County. Negotiations continue with the land owner but for now, the trail will be closed requiring riders to ride to Sugar Camp and then north to Eagle River. We'll keep this site updated as changes occur.

Join a Club
With trail closures threatened all around our state, it is important snowmobilers have good representation. There is no better way to have representation than through numbers. By joining an AWSC member club, we have a voice that will be heard in Madison and can help get legislation in place to keep our trail systems safe. You can join NLSC by filling out the Membership application and mailing in today.
